BLAST

Jeder andere OTA Befehl erreicht höchstens eine weitere Station. BLAST schickt eine Direktnachricht an alle, die bisher an dem Op teilgenommen haben. Nimm ihn für das, was die ganze Gruppe auf einmal wissen muss. Ein Standortwechsel, ein Wetterumschwung, noch zwanzig Minuten, zum Schluss ein Dank an alle.

QST ist ein Synonym für den Befehl BLAST. Es ist das traditionelle Funksignal für eine Nachricht an alle Funkamateure, und genau das ist es hier.

Dieser Befehl heißt nicht ohne Grund Blast. Wenn eine Reihe Chaser auf deinem Op über dasselbe iGate arbeiten, kannst du die Funkkapazität in dieser Gegend leicht überlasten. Mit Bedacht verwenden.

Wenn du der Host bist, betreibst du genau einen Op, OTA weiß also schon, welchen du meinst. Sende ihn von der Station, die deinen Op betreibt.

Du chasest? Nenne den Host

Sobald du einen Op gerufen und deinen Positionsbericht gesendet hast, kannst du einen Blast an ihn schicken. Setze das Rufzeichen des Hosts nach vorn, genauso wie du ihn ursprünglich gerufen hast. Ein @ davor funktioniert ebenfalls, und das schon immer.

Achte darauf, was KI7YAK-5 empfängt. Diese Station chased ebenfalls K7ABC, hat aber noch nie von W1XYZ-5 gehört, deshalb nennt die Weiterleitung nicht nur den Sprecher, sondern auch den Op. Spricht der Host selbst, wäre das zweimal dasselbe Rufzeichen, also entfällt es.

Wer ihn bekommt

Alle auf dem Op außer dir. Chaser bekommen Blasts, sobald sie ihre Chase-Nachricht und ihren Positionsbericht gesendet haben, ganz gleich ob das QSL schon erfolgt ist. In dem Moment, in dem dein Positionsbericht ankommt, bist du auf dem Op, und das zählt am meisten, solange du auf einen vielbeschäftigten Host wartest. Ein Blast, dass das Wetter umgeschlagen ist, ist genau das, was du vor dem QSL wissen willst, nicht danach.

Frühere Blasts werden neuen Chasern nicht nachgereicht. Hat der Host einen Blast gesendet, bevor du den Op gechased hast, erfährst du nur über die Website und die Op-Seite, ob es einen gab und was darin stand.

Wie viele du senden kannst

Blasts gehen über Funk an viele Leute gleichzeitig hinaus, deshalb sind sie strenger rationiert als alles andere, was der Bot tut:

Sie kosten nichts außer deiner Zurückhaltung, und der Op endet früh genug, dass du selten an eine der beiden Grenzen stößt. Einen zu senden verlängert deinen Op nicht: Die Uhr läuft nach Kontakten, nicht nach Gesprächen.

Zu viele Blasts?

Wenn du einen Op chasest und keine weiteren Blasts von diesem Op möchtest, sende DONE callsign mit dem Rufzeichen des Hosts, dann bekommst du von diesem Op keine mehr.
